Clinical diagnostics
Creating the best possible foundation with high-tech and multidisciplinarity
On the following pages, we would like to introduce our radiological department, the Medical Centre for Radiology and Diagnostics Munich-Taufkirchen, to you. Equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, it supports our interdisciplinary team of physicians in making diagnoses and therefore, spares our patients the trouble of having to make additional appointments elsewhere. The challenge of diagnosing pain
Like when attempting to put together a puzzle, it is essential to put the right pieces together from a variety of pain types, symptoms and findings from various areas of expertise, in order to come to a conclusive diagnosis. This is one of the most difficult challenges in medicine. Even an excellently trained individual specialist often reaches his or her limits of capability in the process.
A precise diagnosis through an interdisciplinary team of physicians and state-of-the-art high-tech equipment
That is why we have been using an interdisciplinary diagnosis concept for many years now, which involves several physicians from various areas of expertise. In the first step, the attending physician enquires about the patient‘s personal pain situation and checks all previous diagnoses and therapies. Then the anaesthesiologist’s, the neurologist’s and the radiologist’s opinion is heard as well as the opinion of other physicians if necessary.
Today, modern image-guided procedures, such as a computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRT) can significantly facilitate the results of a diagnosis. Our new radiological department, the Medical Centre for Radiology and Diagnostics Munich-Taufkirchen also ensures that the coordination is promptly and effectively possible here. It is equipped with the latest high-tech equipment. It enables image-guided clinical diagnostics according to the latest scientific discoveries – and is still right here at our facilities.
One appointment – all exams
There is also another very direct advantage for you: We can offer our patients maximum convenience for the examinations we referred to. CTs and MRTs can be conducted during your routine visit to the clinic. No additional appointments or trips are necessary. For you this means: shorter waiting periods and therefore, more time for you – the best requirements for setting promising therapy measures in motion.
